Owner-artists Heather Ayers-Flood (Creatif AF) & Donna Bertucci-Ruiz (Tucci'z Designs) each bring their unique style to Back Door. But both share the same vision of creating a space that invites the community to share in their creative journey.

Donna Bertucci-Ruiz

Heather creates vibrant alcohol ink art inspired by the bold colors and organic shapes of nature. she enjoys the unpredictable characteristics of the medium, letting it guide her rather than trying to control it. she also enjoys creating mixed media pieces using acrylic paint, gel prints and collage.

Donna is a lifelong creative who specializes in miniature silver sculptures crafted from precious metal clay. Inspired by nature and decades of rich life experience, she continually pushes the boundaries of her designs, and is always learning new techniques to bring to her art.

April Philips

April is an artist inspired by land, sea, and sky and the flora and fauna that inhabit those realms. her art works are explorations of the many ecological layers and phenomena within the natural world along with the humanistic and spiritual connections that vibrate within. Layers of geology, ecology, archeology, time, memories, dreams, visions, transformations, ephemera, mists, fluids, and solids overlaid to create unique patinas and vistas. Nature and human connections reimagined. she concentrates with water based mediums but also utilizes pencil, inks, pastel, collage and other mixed media materials depending on where inspiration and roads of discovery may lead.
